I have set the users who can edit events access to “publish post”, however, not all users who have been granted “publish post” access can see the “edit” link on the events page. They CAN see the “edit” link on the past events page. We are able to work around this issue currently with this backdoor access.
Edit events is not the same as editing the events page.
Editing events is only possible from the WP admin pages, or when being logged in and using the #_EDITEVENTLINK in the event format somewhere.
